(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Not The Bar B Q Place battle, Trouble Down South beat a strong Blackened Voodoo team by a score of 1243 to 1029, silencing a partisan crowd of 72,873.
Trouble Down South were led to their 214 point victory by a 309 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 260 passing yards and 2 passing tds. They also got help from a 206 point effort from Kevin Smith, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 111 rushing yards and 1 rushing td.
"This team shows a lot of character," Trouble Down South coach Rich said.
Blackened Voodoo were helped out in a losing cause by a 227 point effort from Anthony Fasano, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 47 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Fasano was the number 2 ranked tight end for week 16. They also got help from a 219 point effort from Marques Colston, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 99 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds.
"I take full responsibility for this loss," Blackened Voodoo coach Doug said.
Adding salt to the wound, Blackened Voodoo could have scored 1751 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Doug left key players like Jay Cutler and his corresponding 539 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Trouble Down South to 5-8, and drops Blackened Voodoo to a record of 7-6.
