*Oregon Gold were led to their 15.85 point victory by a 18.90 point effort from Hines Ward, who beat the Tennessee Titans defense for 109 receiving yards and 1 receiving td. With this performance, Ward was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 15.60 point effort from Brian Westbrook, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 45 rushing yards in addition to 71 receiving yards. "We came to play," *Oregon Gold coach dane strausz said. *Weekend Warriors were helped out in a losing cause by a 18.10 point effort from Matt Forte, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 73 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 28 receiving yards. They also got help from a 18.05 point effort from Eli Manning, who snuck past the Carolina Panthers defense for 181 passing yards and 1 passing td. "We'll just have to put this loss behind us," *Weekend Warriors coach Mark Chismar said. Adding salt to the wound, *Weekend Warriors could have scored 134.65 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mark Chismar left key players like DeAngelo Williams and his corresponding 32.80 points on the bench. This brings the record for *Oregon Gold to 12-3, and drops *Weekend Warriors to a record of 11-4. | ||
