I hope everyone had a fun season. Congrats to those who are competing for the League Championship. For playoff purposes, all scores posted right at the end of the fantasy week are final. No scoring changes will occur from this point throughout the rest of the season. Good luck to all. Teams will compete in head-to-head competition each week. The top 6 teams regardless of conference with the best overall records will earn playoff spots. Playoff seeding will be determined as follows: Best win/loss record Total Points Scored Conference Record (will be included to decide Conference winners only) Head to Head match-ups Coin Toss Conference Record will be included to decide Conference winners only and does not affect overall seeding for the playoffs. All 6 playoff teams will be seeded according to the information above. Both Conference winners will have a week 14 bye while the 3rd & and the 6th seed square off as well as the 4th & 5th seeds in week 14. If by chance all top 6 teams are in the same conference at then end of the regular season, the 2nd place overall team, using the formula above, will receive the week 14 bye. So I take it that there will be no more late week scoring adjustments? What was the point of it if we don't use it the whole year? I thought that "getting it right" was the objective. Now all of a sudden that doesn't matter? I would think that it's more important now to "get it right" than it ever was. Sure hope there aren't any matchups that would normally be reversed.

I hope in '09 we go to this way the whole season. I don't like the late week results or waiver wire.

I agree. Really disagree with changing this midstream. Either use it all year or don't use it at all. What did you call it? NASCAR style? ![]()

Getting it right is important. I can't control that it takes until Thursday for the statisticians to get it right. It cuts it too close to the vest at playoff time when you have to advance seeds and eliminate teams with Thursday night games looming.

Disco Stugots:> Sure hope there aren't any matchups that would I eliminated the Beavers by .30 of a point this week. What if that score is changed in his favor? |

I got put in the toilet bowl in another league by .20. I bitched, I moaned but finally I got over it. Maybe next year it can get back to prior years or Elias can get off their asses and make changes sooner. Hell fantasy is a big enough lobbyist maybe you should organize a movement. Don't think so, why do they run those stats with the scores. Why do they have a expert telling you who to play or bench?

The scoring for my game did, in fact, change and the final outcome would have been reversed putting Beavers into the playoffs. Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings * Jared Allen: from 4 to 3 Tackles. * Jared Allen: from 4 to 5 Assists. * Jared Allen: from 3 Sacks for 28 Yards to 2.5 Sacks for 23.5 Yards. http://football13.myfantasyleague.com/2008/site_news?CATEGORY=Official%20Statistics%20Changes&L=17469 This is an example of why we need a set of rules that do not get adjusted during the year.

I'd have to say this is worse case scenario for this type of situation. I had to make the change though because of the playoff format.

I couldn't have imagined that the worse possible scenario in this situation could have arisen but it has. This is my 2nd year running the leagues and the first year I was presented with the scoring changes. I felt it was the right thing to do to allow the socring changes. At this being playoff time though I can't allow the updates to affect games because they changes come in on Thursday. With Thursday night games, too much can interfere with myself as commish having the time to make changes in who's playing, get owners informed and ready to go if a change occurs. Changes will be made this off-season across the board to prevent this from ever happening again. I asure you all of that. I'm going to take this up with Mick personally to try to find something amenable to him but the playoff picture remains the same. Commish

And are you going to make it up to me for screwing me over with a outdated schedule? The most influential component to a team's won/loss record outside of their roster is the schedule. I was not given a FAIR and EQUAL opportunity to win the prize money due to this error. I PAID a fee for this opportunity.
