Home Brews (100) at Cracker Boy (85)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 NADS Fantasy Football League matchup, Home Brews beat a strong Cracker Boy team by a score of 100 to 86, extending the winning streak for Home Brews to 8 games.  Home Brews opened up as a 20.0 point favorite and by the time the lineups were submitted, that number had rose to a 25.3 point favorite.  Home Brews had most of his team playing in the early games and jumped out to a 45 point lead.  In the afternoon games, Home Brews scored 43 points as Cracker Boy scored 74 points.  Neither team had any players left to play as Home Brews held on to win by 14 points, 100-86.

They also got help from a 22 point effort from Greg Jennings, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 88 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"They out-hustled us," Cracker Boy coach Joe Curtis said.

This brings the record for Home Brews to 8-0, 1st place in the GOOD division and drops Cracker Boy to a record of 3-5, 3rd place in the UGLY division.

Gonna Win Again (82) at Dave's Not Here (93)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 NADS Fantasy Football League showdown, Dave's Not Here beat a strong Gonna Win Again team by a score of 94 to 82, extending the losing streak for Gonna Win Again to 3 games.  Gonna Win Again had opened up as a 21.0 point favorite and by the time the lineups were submitted, that number had dropped to an 18.0 favorite.  Gonna Win Again had most of his team playing in the early games and jumped out to a 44 points lead.  By the end of the afternoon games, Dave’s Not Here had closed the gap to only an 8 point lead by Gonna Win AgainGonna Win Again was done for the week though as Dave’s Not Here still had one more player on Monday night.  Dave’s Not Here managed to score 20 more points to zip past Gonna Win Again by 12 points, 94-82 for the UPSET OF THE WEEK.

With this performance, Jackson was the number 5 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Jonathan Stewart, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 87 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.

"We're going to use this win as a building block," Dave's Not Here coach Dave Galbraith said.

Gonna Win Again were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Matt Forte, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 90 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 31 receiving yards. With this performance, Forte was the number 4 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Miles Austin, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 61 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 11 rushing yards.

"I take full responsibility for this loss," Gonna Win Again coach Al Kooreman said.

Causing further embarrassment, Gonna Win Again could have scored 117 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but coach Al Kooreman left key players like the Miami Dolphins Defensive Team and his corresponding 21 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Dave's Not Here to 5-3, tied for 1st in the UGLY division and drops Gonna Win Again to a record of 3-5, 4th place in the GOOD division.

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 NADS Fantasy Football League matchup, Tommyknockers beat a strong Da Boyz team by a score of 105 to 80, silencing a partisan crowd of 66,717.  In a battle of the bitches, Tommyknockers had opened up as an 8.1 point favorite and by the time the lineups were submitted, that number dropped to a 7.6 point favorite.  Tommyknockers jumped out to an early 30 point lead over Da Boyz.  By the end of the afternoon games, Tommyknockers had actually extended that lead to 46 points but Tommyknockers was done for the week as Da Boyz still had 1 more players on Monday night.  Da Boyz managed to get 21, but it wasn’t enough as Tommyknockers held on to whip Da Boyz by 25 points, 105-80.  I would think that Tommyknockers should have won this game as Da Boyz submitted her lineup with 3 bye week players and her tie-breaker on a bye as well.

"We didn't maintain the intensity for the entire 60 minutes," Da Boyz coach Tilly Van Harpen said.

Adding salt to the wound, Da Boyz could have scored 113 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but coach Tilly Van Harpen left key players like Terrell Owens and his corresponding 16 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Tommyknockers to 5-3, 2nd place in the GOOD division and drops Da Boyz to a record of 4-4, 2nd place in the BAD division.

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 NADS Fantasy Football League classic, Blind Melon Chitlin' beat a strong 5280's team by a score of 71 to 61, behind the support of 68,595 faithful fans.  5280’s opened up as a 6.7 point favorite.  By the time the lineups were submitted, Blind Melon Chitlin’ were actually favored by 2.9 points over 5280’s.  Blind Melon Chitlin’ jumped out to and early 24 point lead after the morning games.  By the end of the afternoon games, 5280 closed that lead to only 6 points but he was done for the week as Blind Melon Chithead still had another player on Monday night.  Blind Baby was sick of losing and scored 4 more points on Monday to cruise past 5280’s by 10 points, 71-61, for his second win of the season for the GAME OF THE WEEK.
